Phonezoo (ringtones sent to e-mail)

Can I send the ringtones from PHONEZOO to my e-mail rather than directly to my phone? I use mobile 17.com and send them to my e-mail , then upload them directly to the memory card on the phone.

As long as you set up phonezoo account properly you can send to email. I have done that many times.

I just tried to set it up with my e-mail address to send the ringtones to rather than my phone number...it will not work. How did you do that? It won't let me put an e-mail address in rather than a phone number...

I think phonezoo made changes. It looks like to have to send to pix.com and from there send to phone. It used to be I would send to pc and download onto computer. Dont know why the change, it was so easy before.

I wrote to them and got a response which I really don't understand:

There is another method that does not require internet on your phone. You can save your tones/photos to your computer by using the Save to PC button. From there, you can transfer the file directly to your computer via Bluetooth, SD card, cable, or any other compatible method.

Any thoughts??? I don't see anyplace where there is a "save to PC button".

It doesn't matter if you can send them to email or not. You can't use the verizon-provided transfer utilities to turn them into ringtones. This has been discussed endlessly before. I'm not sure why people can't use the simple search box at the top of the screen to look for the past 10 or 12 threads that discuss this. Regardless of where the ringtones are, you need to text them to your phone one way or the other and then save them as ringtones. You can't directly transfer them. Bitpim, which does allow some file transfers, doesn't handle my sounds. For methods to do this, for god's sake use the search function. People get tired of typing this in over and over again.

I wasn't writing to EVERYONE at this point. That's why I responded to the first person that answered me. There most definately is a way to send them to e-mail with other services. I do that all the time. Just don't know much about phonezoo. I did a search and didn't come up with the answer to my specific question , specifically what phonezoo sent me....sorry if it bothered you to HAVE to type the answer again. If you don't want to re-type things, I suppose you can choose not to read and/or answer....

Fine. Flounder if you like. Emailing them to yourself doesn't get you anywhere. Certainly, it doesn't get you to a saved ringtone. The answer and process you need to follow has been posted here several times before. If you don't feel like using that little search feature at the top of the discussion list, feel free to waste hours of your time and others trying to make something work that won't.

One more time now, with feeling. You have to text whatever sound clip you have to yourself. Then you can save the received clip as a ringtone.

Got it?

Somehow, I doubt it.

You know sometimes things change as time goes on and searching for past discussions can be out dated. And sometimes its nice just to have a chat with people here on problems we might be having, so I don't know why you have to get nasty with anyone. I love phonescoop and all its done for me and others, so just try to get along and enjoy it.
