I'm currently an ENV owner and I noticed two things that in my humble opinion that didn't change which should of...

1.) Phone has to be open when initializing and using speakerphone...why???

2.) No outside speakers! When using VZNavigator or playing music you could bearly hear it when closed.

Another thing I noticed about the Voyager was when using the browser, VCast Music, Picture T/aking or VZNavigator it forces you to landscape mode. I feel this makes it extremely difficult for a smooth one-handed operation.

I feel that the Voyager is a BIG step in the right direction but LG/Verizon should have addressed these issues.

I kinda agree with you on some aspects. then again, there will never ever be a perfect phone. everybody has different tastes. Another thing you could I would like to see added instead of a D-PAD /ok button. how about a scroll ball ala the sidekick? that made it alot easier to navigate. And yes i know. it would be hard because of the touch screen. but my thumb gets tired from always pushing that damn d-pad

Yeah that's right but this thing about the speakerphone it's been a problem in LG phones since they started making cell phones I guess they dont care. However the phone seems to be a huge breaktrough considering that is a verizon phone.

If they made a perfect phone the phone companies would go out of buisness because there would be no need to make different models. Every phone is going to be missing 4,5,6 different options that "should" have been on it.

Agreed, about the "breakthrough" but the speakerphone issue really gets me. I just can't understand why they chose this path to travel.

If its anything like the ENV the music is fine with the phone open, not the case when it's closed though.

I have not seen the ability to set different ring tones for text messages based on who sent since the LG VX8000 (which I loved). It's too bad, it WAS a great feature.

When the phone is closed the music isn't as loud as mentioned before, but the music menu on the outside of the phone looks great. On the other hand when the phone is open the menu is the same old one on all the phones except the Chocolate/Venus. Also with the phone open the speaker is amazing. Very loud and you can hear the songs loud and clear.

0n the other hand, you can't set different tones for txt like you could on the vx8000, vx8100 & the last phone to have this capability was the V. Now this is a down fall for you and me both. But think of this, when I get a call i never run for my phone unless it is a call I am expecting. Now when i get a txt i am all over it. I dont care who it is from, i just love my txt messages. when i had the ...

Can we all please stop writing stupid crap like "must of" and "should of" and "a whole nother"? I know it sounds that whey (purposely done) but it's must've and should've. Like must have and should have. The word "nother" doesn't exist. It's basically a compound word made up of "an other" making it "another" not to be split up into "a" and "nother". I know people hate getting corrected on stuff like this but if you hate being corrected so much then fix it and remove the possibility that someone is going to correct you. If someone doesn't correct you they are just enabling you to be dumb. When I see something so blatantly retarded I get stuck on it for about 5 minutes wondering why before I can move on to the next word. Please help me ...

Oh, yeah. I agree that it's stupid to have to have the phone open to use the speaker phone. Don't get that one bit. And it would be nice to have a simple sensor in the phone that could tell when you had the phone sideways or vertical instead of forcing you into a view that you might not prefer. Stupid phones and their coercion.

I have read all of the comments on this subject. One thing I have not gleaned is the part where you folks have actually touched the Voyager. The reason that I bring this up is because I have had a nice 3-day stent with the Voyager and disagree with #1 and #2. I was able to use the speaker phone with the unit closed. Secondarily, when it is closed the outside speakers at the top and bottom work very well in addition to those on the inside----whe...
