No, they are not saving it for new customers. They are trying to get people to change to the new plans. I'm not a new customer, and many of the people who pre-ordered so far aren't new either. The website says "to preorder the voyager, change to a nationwide calling plan.....". I did that and I was able to preorder.

I had no problem pre-ordering this phone they sent my a confirmation letter in my e-mail, also the phone is not available until 11/21/2007 i spoke to a customer service rep. she stated that the phone will be in stores that day so since i pre-ordered the phone ahead of time that guarantees my a phone also it will be mailed out on that day or before so i will receive on the date. i still have some connection with verizon i was told that this phone is is like the EnV but with a larger outside display and the qwerty key pad is also larger so people with larger hands can use it better then the 9900. I can't wait till i get it, i didn't have to change anything with my service

They do think we're stupid, but for a different reason. This is what a CSR told me on chat:

Yolawnda: Okay, this is what must happen. Leave the order process, then go in a change your plan.
Yolawnda: You need to upgrade to the Nation wide plan .
Yolawnda: It is just a new name.

...there are more differences than just a "new name." And if it was as simple as a name change, why wouldn't they do that automatically? If it doesn't change any conditions in the contract (which it DOES, to my disadvantage in my case), there would be no reason to try to persuade me to change my plan. For the year that I've had Verizon, I've had a great experience, but this has sketch written all over it.

actually no the only difference between the plans is that under the old one you were charged for any data you downloaded from v-cast by the minute and now you are charged by the MB. I have the family share plan with 3 lines who all had the $10 text messaging feature and with the new nationwide plan for the same price you can get unlimited messaging to any network and best of all you can finally pre-order the voyager

Yes, and that difference would mean a higher bill for my family plan. We rarely use more than half of our anytime minutes, which means we can use the rest for data. Under a new plan those minutes will go to waste and we will have to pay more for data. None of my lines have Vcast, we don't need that. I'm quite happy with my $5/month mobile web plan.

Oh here the thing the change for mobile web is because the VOYAGER does bothe MOBILE WEB 2.0 and HTML......to use the HTML browser you have to sign up to the data plan......$59...vcast only gets you mobile web 2.0 like every other phone.

No that is completely false. The 15 vpack will get you access to both of the features. this phone is not a pda. nor does it even give you the option on their website.

2 diff versions of the browser on one device? 🤣
Yeah Right!
%59 a month for HTML browsing?
🤣
Yeah Right!
If you want to back up your statement with some literature, that would be great. Otherwise, STFU.

Or you can wait to see the phone and feel totaly dumb. There are 2 browser options on the phone. One is the standard web 2.0 browser and the other says Optomized bowser which adds in the Voyager interface to the browser and goes into html.

I'd show documentation to that fact but I like my job 😛 By the time I could show you everyone will have the phone anyway.

Oh as far as the data plan you dont have to have the 45.00 data plan...how many times has this been said already? 🙄
