Speakerphone
Hey All,
Been checking Phone Scoop for some time but never posted before. Im a current Verizon Wireless customer but have the old school LG VX6100. Im probably going to upgrade to the Voyager, but have a speakerphone question. Was checking out testman and read this:
General
One−Touch Speakerphone (via internal keyboard)
I hope this doesn't mean that speakerphone can't be used without having the phone open...
i.e. does anyone know if speakerphone works in its closed, bar form?
Thanks -Rob

I believe the EnV is the same way - open the phone to use speakerphone.

Yes, I have the enV, and you have to have it flipped open to use the speaker phone. But as far as speakerphone's go, it's plenty loud. I do like the fact that it's loud.

Oh yeah trust me I have the enV as well and the speakerphone is plenty loud. I have to keep it at the lowest setting when I'm in a room with other people and I can still hear the person loud and clear on the other end.

I know the phone is designed to support mobile tv on the outside screen, which would require a loudspeaker you can hear with the phone closed, so while I don't have anything official, it only seems to make sense that you could activate speakerphone while closed. The enV doesn't, but then again the enV is designed with very limited usability on the outside, compared to the voyager which is supposed to do everything except type QWERTY while on the outside.

I still think the speakerphone will function the same as the env. The speakers themselves still work with the phone closed, the ringer uses the internal speakers. They choose to limit the speakerphone for other reasons
