Voyager Pre-Order
Info from Phone Arena: LG Voyager (VX10000) : 11/8 Pre-Order; 11/21 Launch. Do you really need to pre-order on-line in order to get it as soon as they release it? Can I just go to the store and get it there on the 21st? Has anybody used this pre-order option from Verizon before?.

Pre-ordering is just for online phone ordering. If you pre-order a phone online, then it will get shipped out to you from their online warehouse.
If you just want to pick up the phone at your local store, then you don't need to pre-order it at all, just stop it and or camp out the night before!

Yeah but if I pre-order will I have it on the 21st?? I know they have free overnight shipping. I want to do the on-line thing to avoid the annoying mail-in-rebate. I am going to be out of town starting on the evening of the 21st; I dont want the $300 phone sitting on my door for 4 days. Then if I pre-order am I suppose to get the phone delivered on the launch day???

Overnight delivery is via Fedex and requires a signature, so you won't have the phone sitting on your doorstep. Fedex will attempt do deliver it for three days, then it will go to the fedex warehouse with a note on your door to go pick it up. If you don't pick it up from the fedex warehouse after a few days, it'll be sent back to Verizon and your order will be cancelled. Unless of course you leave a note on your door permitting fedex to leave it without a signature, then you'll have the phone left on your doorstep.

Signature is not required. They will leave it on the door step. I ordered the U740 about 2 months ago and It was on my doorstep when I got home.

I recently received 3 new phones (family upgraded phones) and signature was required for each. Not sure why yours didn't require it.

Its up to the drivers discretion if he thinks the box will be fine by ur front door then they will leave it. If you live in an apartment building, then he most prob wont leave it in the hallway where anyone walking by can pick it up.

I don't know specifically about the Voyager yet, but VZW ofter does true pre-ordering. Meaning if you submit on your order online on the 8th it will ship out next business day. This is true right now of the BB 7130. It is available online but not in the store. This is usually only on PDA devices but done on dumbphones as well.

If you order it once it becomes available for pre-order. It's not listed yet. If you see it on the Verizon website listed next to all the other phones with a price next to it, then you'll be up for pre-order. Basically just go to the /next website and sign up for the email list and you'll know as soon as it's out.

on the testman site it says $299.99 now do you get a rebate on that price or is that gonna be the price after the instant rebate.
