Contact List/ Data Cable

I just got the v9m for Verizon yesterday. So far I really like it. It is disappointing not to be able to read texts on the front screen because I could on my vx8100.

When I got my phone, the guy at the Verizon store said they cannot transfer my phonebook to my razr 2 because they "do not have the right cable yet." Did anyone else get that response? Thats pretty annoying.

Also, where can I buy a data cable to plug my phone directly into my computer? Thanks.

I seem to be able to read text messages on the from when I don't have any other "missed alerts." It is a micro usb cable. I think there are some people that have found one on here. I just used my old phone and bluetooth to transfer the phonebook entries one by one. It took a little while, but it worked.

if you just use back up manager it transfers all of your contacts. it's normally 1.99 a month but if you manage you account online it's free. works really well

sign up to manage account at https://myaccount.verizonwireless.com/accessm anager/public/controller?action=displayRegist rationg you don't have to pay your bill online or anything like that. then go to https://www.getbackupnow.com/ and register for your backup account. they waive the 1.99 fee. It works just like back up software you schedule a time to back up your contacts and it does it automatically. you can also delete or add contacts and it will make the changes to your phone.
