So will the Verizon version allow you to check messages from the outside? Does the Sprint version let you?

Sprint does not due to Sprint TV button taking it's place. Sprint is the only network offering it, so I would assume others will get a texting button.

Meh i just read only Alltell allows you to check messages on the outer screen. For me, this renders the gigantic screen useless. It does everything my A950 does. Ugh anyone have a good reason why I should still order this phone tomorrow?

of course the gigantic outer screen is useless. it will only serve to make an already weak battery even weaker. unless you are halfway blind, it's a complete waste of space. this phones does everything my razr v3xx does so I will not be getting the at&t version anytime soon. there's nothing new here, just a shiny toy.
