so if you're not going to use your phone to play games, a java ui isn't a big deal right?

Ok well heres the think. I hear everyone complain about the Verizon UI which is the most simple UI i have ever seen. If you dont miss the Java and the ability to install free games and java apps such as Google maps , Internet media players and more why do you care.

Every verizon phone has the same UI without java except the Nokia 6236i but it has no evdo. Same UI = the same phone to me. Razr2 and the Maxx Ve whats the real difference but looks.

if i CANT find a hack to install java on this phone i might as well stay with my VX8300

The point is well taken, but the fact that they have the same ui does mean they perform equally. I doubt they have the same internal hardware and the v9m may have enhancements to some enhancements to the verizon UI like the flash interface. As someone that hates the verizon ui, flash alone is enough to make wait for the v9m.

what will flash do?

my vx8300 has flash 3 different themes, 1 is the basic red verizon theme.

But even that u get bored of those...you cant add new ones or make your own. Atleast ive never seen any new ones.

V9m has a 2mp cam woopy doo....the vx8300 has a 1.3mp and takes better pics than any 2mp i have ever scene!

can you hack the lg 8100?

No verizon phone can be hacked. the only reason some motorola phones can be hacked it when other providers have the same phone you may be able to flash your phone with there firmware and have it work with your provider.

I have had almsot every phone that has come out for verizon over the past few years.
The vx8300 does take better pics than the vx8100.
But the vx8000, Maxx Ve, enV, and A990 all take better pics than the VX8300.

I think that I would know, since I've owned them all at some point.

cNet may rave about the pic quality from the 8300, but the others are better.

dont know about the 8000, a990 never had em so maybe. But the Maxx and Env i have and they didnt in my opinion.

WOW! Sounds like you had bad luck with them then. Too Bad.

You must be on crack...I have the EnV and it takes way better pics then the VX8300...you cant even compare the 2

Go to Cnet look at the difference between the ENV photo and the VX8300 photo. Please before you speak investigate and think.

While this does not show the VX8300, it shows the VX8700, enV, Maxx, and A990.

Nice but like i said go to CNET look at the photo examples of the ENV vs the VX8300 and see what they about each photos.
