UNBRANDING PROBLEMS

I have the wotan server client but it says>>>>" waiting on phone" and I then connect it to the computer with the USB cable, powered off and it wont recognize my phone! I have this phone through AT&T and don't like the green light....
WHAT Am I DOING WRONG????
