There are a few other web sites in the US and a number in the UK where you can buy the phone - IF you have the budget for it. Most of the ones I've seen so far are a minimum of $300 and would have to be unlocked or you'd have to pay extra to have that done (or do it yourself if you have the means).
I'll wait for AT&T to get them in and hope they don't charge a lot more because it'll be new and in great demand.
