sprint 2007, you are awesome, i think i was talking to you earlier this week about how to do this stuff. one question, how do you actually get the files on the phone? straight download from the phone? through a pc?

I DL the files to my PC, then sink the phone. Then drag the files from my pc to the phone. Open and run the files once they are on the phone. Then after the program is installed, go back to the original file on the phone and delete it, just to open the space back up.

to me that doesnt make sense, i mean download it on the computer, sync the phone, then drag it on the phone? why cant you just connect the phone via usb and drag and drop that way? and where on the phone to install these programs, anywhere in any folder?

lol... Thats what I am doing. Using the included usb cable, conecting the phone, I sink it. Go to "explore" in the sink window. Locate the file on the PC, I drop it into my main "my device" folder, open it from there and run the install. Then I go back to that folder and delete the original file to save space. Thats how I do it, there may be other ways others do it.

ahhhhhh...i see i see, but how do you know which file to transfer over? i have read that you only need to transfer one file over in some cases or what not. i have tried to transfer a file but to no avail...i think i am doing it wrong, and do you need to have an unlock "hack" to do any of this?

I download the zip file to the pc, open, then drag those contents over, (the .cab) file. then click on it and run it. nothing else needed.

hey guys! sorry I hvent posted anything new. I'll get on that later tonight if not tommorrow! but any info I know i'm gad to share. glad you guys enjoy it. the way I do it, is all from my phone. I haven't ever used ActiveSync. the Zip files that get downloaded to my phone, I just go to Menu---Action---Extract
it takes you to a menu but all I do is just click Extract. it puts them right in your My Dcuments folder. it works perfect! =)

got anything for sms? i could search ppc geeks but if you have something that works great i would rather just pick it up from you. The other two worked perfectly...i am finally learning this stuff!!!

but you guys have any problems with the current dowloads I posted? on my Yahoo! 2.0 it works fine with me. but you know when you download it, when you enter your User Name and Password, let the system log you in and retreive the settings automatically. when you do it manually it gets way hard =P

After that click where it says "Download File"
it should be next to an orange little button. Once its done downloading it should take you to a page where it says ZIP at the top left.
Simply go to

Menu >>> Action >>> Select All >>> Menu >>> Action >>> Extract.
Fron there simply go down a bit and select Extract.

After thats done, go to Start >>> Settings >>> Today. And there ya go! All those colors and other skins are already on there. Simply click one and there ya have it 😉

Theres a few bolded options that say Size, Date, Type, Requirements, and finally Download. Under Download it should say:

Whack-A-Monty.CAB

simply click that, place it on My device instead of My storage card. From there go to Start >>> Programs >>> Games.
it should be right next to Solitaire!

Before, it used to be free but now, its a 30 day trial you get..once your 30 days are up you can just un-install the software and install it back again. Anyways, you know how on youre computer you can have different pages open? Like one page for Google, another for Myspace, another for Weather etc? You can do that too on this browser! Its called an Opera browser, pretty much you'll still have the Internet Explorere one, but this one i think is personally much more user friendly. From your ppc6800, click on this link:

It gives you a few options, but choose the Windows Mobile 5/6 for the PPC version 8.65
Simply download this to the device...

Forgot to mention that once you click on the 8.65 version, it will take you to another page. simply click on the one that says All Devices CAB. DO NOT click the All Devices MSI because it wont work! After that, simply click the Download Opera tab and enjoy! 😉

I dont bro...you can download them on on the phone, if you dont like em just remove them. Its an easy process. I removed some of em, but the rest were pretty good. I like the reptle red one 😉

Thanks so much for the programs!!! Do you know how to get the program that stops programs from running in the background when you hit the "x"? I've been looking for this one to no avail.

Well to be honest man, people have done it but its not very steady on the Mogul...the threads I've read have had issues when they finish installing the program. I can get you the link, but after you download it, its gonna HARD reset your phone instead of SOFT resetting your phone. Pretty much, it'll erase all your info on the phone since it also updates a few things on the ROM 😛

I have a question for ya. Is there anyway I can download yahoo messenger on mine? I have tried to find one on my own but no luck. Please Help...I need my yahoo!

Yeah man I've been looking for that as well, the closest I've gotten is by going thru Yahoo! Mobile Messanger. You can do a quick search on yahoo for mobile messanger and pull it up. Its not as great as the Windows Messanger but it gets the job done...I'll check deeper into it tho 😉

Thank you, just keep us posted. Also do you know where I can find software where I can add different ringtones/pictures to contacts? I know you can buy the software but I really don't want to buy it.
