If it's anything like the 5800 you should be able to just hook the phone up to your computer and drop whatever mp3(s) you want to use into the 'Ringtones' folder on your phone.

There are 2 ways to get your mp3's on your phone. You can copy and paste with Active Sync or if you want to use as a ringtone I would suggest finding a freeware copy of Ringtone Ripper. You can then crop any 0 to 30 second part of a song and use as a ringtone.

if you have sprint music store preview a song then you go to file explorer> application data> volatile and you'll see the play symbol on a doc around 118k. cut goto my documents> ringtones. open folder and paste in there rename it and it'll be on your ringer list... enjoy

Go to download.com find a program called audioblast. its freeware. use it to cut your MP3 file to an approprate ringtone length

sync your phone and open the file explorer on your phone... navigate to the "my ringtones" folder. drag your cropped mp3s into that folder...
