This was a message from another forum on www.verizonxv6800.net

[[[First post on any xv6800 forum, but i have actually been following this phone for about 5 months now.

Usually i know absolutely nothing but i got some info that might help out.

I work at best buy currently but not in the cell phone department, but i have asked them if they know anything about upcoming verizon phones and they said they know absolutely nothing and i believe them. best buy sells verizon phones but its not at all a verizon store, we only have about 8 cell phones and we never get high end ones (dont have xv6700 or any trio).

today i visited a verizon store and asked how much it would cost to cancel a line (cause im tired of waiting for new phones)...

Oh how man times have i heard this, "So i talked to so and so at Verizon and THEY said the 6800 is coming out in 2 weeks." In 2 weeks youll call back when it wasnt released, still a verizon customer and they will string you along for another 2 weeks. pathetic on their part. Sad when i see better phones coming out for other cariers months before verizon even mentions their phone. Verizon's data plan is $45 bucks a month, crap. If my wife and family werent verizon id be changing to get a tilt or something with att or at the very least to sprint. dont hang around if you dont have to...save yourself the headache and enjoy a newer better phone

I was in the same boat with my 2 kids and my fiance' on Verizon (along with almost everyone else that I call). I have been waiting for the 6800 since the begining of the year. I went to AT&T the check out the Tilt. It is a great phone (I think better than the 6800) but too bulky and heavy. I ended up getting the iphone and could not be happier. My fiance was playing around with it last night and now wants to switch. I now have to work over the next year to transition my family to AT&T.

Rumor has it that AT&T will not sell you insurance on some of the newer PDA phones.

That's enough to keep me waiting for Verizon.
