Yet another brick for Sprint

Tired of waiting for another clamshell PDA. Sprint made Samsung ditch the i500 generation (the i550 would have been great) and even Treo can't seem to get their brains about a thin, lightweight phone. Naturally, Sprint doesn't get the Pearl because that would make too much sense and/or other providers are too busy commanding exclusivity, which IMHO should be outlawed by the FCC (who seems to put their hands on everything else).

Can't understand why people are excited about another big, clunky phone.

Personally, after years :-( I finally broke down and bought a Razr just because at least I can fully sync my address book with Outlook.

Somebody please bring a slim PDA phone that isn't for Cingular or Verizon!!

If you have yet to see the MULTIPLE advantages to a phone of this calibre then maybe you should just stay in he rzr forum...

Maybe you have no idea what the i500 was... I have used a PDA phone for four years. The i500 was a Palm phone, like the Treo, only it was thin, touchscreen and clamshell. And I am well versed with the Motorola Q (until I sold it) because although it is nice and thin, it is still too "blocky" to be comfortable in my pocket. Perhaps you keep your phone in your briefcase, but I don't and I don't wear it on my hip either.

I'm not naive to the benefits of a full PDA phone, however if you read my post with both your eyes you would have known that size is most important to me. But thanks for your opinion.

oh no... I'm well aware of the I500 and the i550 that was supposed to be released but was cancelled and also spent time with the I600 on my account.... I've never been a fan of palm when there is an option for windows... Now I did read with both my eyes... but thanks for checking... as far as the size.. the Mogul is just about the same size as the i500 but it's just in bar style..

I'm not familiar with the Mogul. I've got all my contacts which will suffice for a while and while I do miss listening to my Sirius and some other favorite online radio stations, I'm going to sit tight for a while and just wait it out.

totally you're choice... but next time BEFORE you start knocking a phone you should use it hands on in order to give a review.

wow, you have issues, the pearl is nice but does it have wifi? does it have a touch screen? Which one has a bigger display and keypbaord by design? which one has a 2mp camera? Doesn't the pearl run on edge speens??

Teh htc is not that much bigger when you compare the two and the there are a lot of key features that 1up that decvice.

But if you love up the smaller less powerful blackberry devices both sprint and Verizon will have their versions shortly
