Important Notice on Charging the 6800

Charging the Mogul

DO NO USE RIM OR MOTOROLA CHARGERS TO CHARGE THE 6800…

Rim and Motorola use a different OHM and Amperage, which will result in a burnt out battery. This battery burnout will result in decreased life span of the battery and the batteries inability to hold a charge. Using the wrong charger will result in the battery not being covered under the warranty.

I'm going to need more information to believe this. Most cell phone chargers accept an input of anywhere from 100-240VAC @ 50/60Hz depending on where it is being used. Now I'm not sure what the amperage is coming out of the 6800 charger, but the ones for the Motorola send .15 amps. This is probably less than the 6800, but it still shouldn't cause battery problems, only a slower charge.

Well thats all that was forwarded to me by my IAE. You don't have to beleive it I just thought I'd pass down what I have received(directly from Sprint).

Well to be honest, I think it is safe.. especially because Sprint is selling the same charger or the Mogul as they do the RAZR, 6700, ect.

I charged my cingular 8125 with the charger for my motorola and the battery did burn out
...
