need info on unlocking?
I am thinking of getting an Iphone but i want to use it with my tmobile sim. I have done a little researching on unlocking but havent found any way that seems legit. I just want to know what is the most surefire way to unlock an iphone and can it be done with 1.1.3? or do i need an older software version. I am also curious if the unlock software for sale on ebay is legit. Can i buy software and unlock the phone my self or is it better to have someone else do it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

1.1.3 in theory can be unlocked but I have done it and lets just say they haven't quite perfected the jailbreak and unlock for it yet. I actually downgraded back to 1.1.2 becuase its stable. But you can use tmobile and have unlimited t-zone internet (yes the 5.99 internet lol) for every version up to 1.1.3. Here is the catch, any iPhone purchased after November 2007 cannot be software unlocked by itself, you need a hardware unlock as well. The 4th and 5th numbers of the serial number must be 44 and below. The unlock software on ebay is a ripoff since all the available unlock software for the iphone is available for free on line, with the exception of the hardware sim unlocks.
