Voyager Fanbois Rage

I ventured over to the Voyager forum a while back because I had been comparing the two phones. I was horribly disappointed in the Voyager after testing it and expressed that in their forum. The personal attacks began flow. Unfortunately, I responded, only dragging it out and letting myself be drawn in. Now one of them has hacked my login and is trying to have his fun.

What is it about vastly superior products (iPhone and Apple) that these guys over there can't handle? They are probably the same guys who think windows is a superior, easier to use operating system. It's unbelievable what raging lunatics that group is.

It's good to be home in Apple country!

well, hold on there sparky.

You've insulted "Verizon" people. They're a little protective, as if Verizon can't do any wrong. They are protective of their stinkin Voyager, because it's the closest Verizon will get to the iPhone until they get the iPhone.

As for Macs being easier to use than PC's? Forget it. PC's are WAY easier to use, troubleshoot, this and that. Way easier to open up a PC and work on it, and upgrade it.

I'm a graphic designer, and I use Macs to do that, and video editing, but that's about it. Everything else I use my PC for. Gaming and internet, hacking this and that.

Verizon brainwashes it's reps into being suicidal loyals. Best thing to do is just ignore them.

I agree. iPhone > voyager, but as far as PC vs Mac, i think they both have their advantages. I've used both for work and play.

I think you should hold on Sparky. Youve made quite an untrue generalization. How many sales reps do you know? Ten at most? Thats hardly enough to judge an entire group of people.

That being said, I'm a Verizon sales rep. I think the iPhone is great. Very innovative and cool to use, but it should be clear that the Voyager is not meant to be a direct competitor to the iPhone. The Voyager fills the gap and has different features that are important to some people. Such as...

3G - If youre going to have a phone thats so dedicated to internet and making it a good browsing experience, it should have 3g.

Expandable Memory- For me not a huge issue, but some people want to have more than 8 gigs.

Physical keyboard- Some people just dont ...

Well, I'm making a rather generalized profile of your standard Verizon rep, because your corp. training meetings brainwash you to being loyal no matter what. Talk to almost ANY VZW rep, and they're all very similar with the arguements they have against other carriers, like they've been TAUGHT the same thing.

And I chat with a bunch of VZW reps, online and in person, a lot. More than 10 bud. But even if it were just ten, and they were the same, one could make a pretty good generalization of a mass. I never said ALL are, just most. ESPECIALLY the ones on the VZW carrier fourm. Geez.

GEEEEZ bud!

What company is not gonna try to have their employees be loyal?? I've sold four different carriers and it's the same story with each one. Why would you go to a company training meeting and them tell you "well, you should let customers know that AT&T has the newest and most popular phones and so we should try to push them that way."

They have been taught the same thing. Just like ATT teaches their reps that rollover is Gods gift to man and their is no better idea or solution. Or Sprint telling their reps that iDEN PTT is the ultimate. Why would VZW telling their reps that their network being the best be any different? My point is that you are naive to think that the corporate world would try to promote other companies in t...
