this is the problem if the iPhone get's flash:

every Youtube vid is available. Every flash based video online would work. This goes against AT&T and Apple's plan of doing a mobile based TV service, and might keep some from buying stuff on iTunes. Of course, this is a skeptical view, but it has the chance of hurting business.

I heavily doubt we'll get flash anytime SOON, but you never know. With the IDK coming out Jan-Feb, we might get a sweet firmware update that will enable it.

That makes sense, however it drives me nuts. I can't access normal sites such as gametrailers.com or even the mercedes benz site. I'm also not sure what you mean by IDK. Forgive me for the ignorance on that one. 🙂

I'm not sure if you are being sarcastic by the IDK comment but chainmail is not referring to "I DONT KNOW". He said with the "idk" coming out in Jan or Feb etc.... whatever that means. If you are being serious, sorry for the confusion.tyvm

Sorry for making you wait.

IDK: I'm not sure what it stands for, but this is what it is. When a company opens up a device for other outside partys to make software for the device, they provide a service package, or IDK to help provide developers with the details on how to make software for the iPhone.

What I mean is this package is being launched feb. of this year. This might force the iPhone to become "flash friendly". If that happens, it opens a HUGE door. Adobe (creator of Flash format) hasn't really stated anything about making a program for the iPhone, but it's speculated that this will occur.

Sorry for the lag time on the info.

I dont see why someone didnt just google the term, but anyway, IDK is their software development kit, the I stands for iphone. It is the development environment to make code, it comes with an editor, and compiler so that you can download it and start making your own programs.

I did google it and the most hits were for " I dont know". Now I see that apple has used the acronym SDK. (Software Development Kit) I think I got the hang of it now! 😁

I didn't google it because it's irrelevant what it stands for, because I knew what it was.

acronyms are a dime a dozen.
