Hey bleachers!

I own both phones. The 8525 is a great phone, as you well know. It has alot of cool features and functions that make it a top notch device. That being said.... It no way compares to the iPhone.

I have always been an "underdog" kind of guy with phones. I buy every new phone that comes out and always give my opinion to anyone who asks for it. People all over blast the iPhone and say its overrated and so forth. If thats the case, why is it that ALL over the web are applications and hacks to "make your home screen the same as an iPhone without the big pricetag". Good stuff Mike, you emulate my thoughts very closely. I had the 8525 for a month and it was just too buggy for me, had to hard reset a few times, soft reset all the time, I just didn't enjoy that. So far, the iphone is pretty damn amazing. I am not a feature whore like some people, I can appreciate a phone for exactly what it is. I love the iphone.

Hey pepsijunky!

Absolutely right. The OS on the 8525 was very uncooperative. I did that damn soft reset on a freakin' daily basis when I had too much stuff going at once. It froze up alot, and I HATED having to manually close every damn application after I was done. With the iPhone, when you close it, it's DONE.

I think the great appeal of the iPhone is that its a feature-rich phone for someone who wants it, but it's also just a really cool phone for someone who just wants an eye-catching phone.

Thanks for your input!

Mike
