So no pic messaging, a feature I know almost everyone uses today.

Stereo Bluetooth is awesome and it missing this..

How about the voice dialing..

NJ law passed last week --- If a POlice officer sees you dialing a phone , you are subjest to a ticket.. You are not allowed to dial you phone while driving in NJ anymore..

SO that makes using the Iphone in the car ILLEGAL in NJ.. GO apple - Great job !!

How do you build a 2007 phone without voice dialing ?

They did and it will cost them big !!

Voice dial woud be handy. Though I think it'd have to be speaker independant to pass muster at Apple. Probably a case of 'if we can't do it well, why do it'. But I expect it at some point down the road. Might even be implementable as a software update.

And the phone is not illegal in NJ, it's just illegal to physically dial while your car is in motion. Voicedial only makes using your cell phone while driving slightly less of a bad idea. 😛

Since when do people obey traffic laws in NJ? 🤣 Murders, attempted murders , shootings , muggings, stabbings, rapes, and it smells like NY's arm pit and now NO VOICE DIALING ON AN iPHONE? OH MY GOD ! 😳

New Jersey has so many politicians that do nothing but jerk work all day long to make it look like they are doing something for their pay. There favorite jerk work is passing bans of all sorts. No the Iphone is not illegal in NJ, but using it while driving is. I watched a soccer mom T-Bone a Mercedes the other day, she was yapping up a storm on her cell and BAM. Her SUV was no match for the Mercedes. It crinkled like a French Fry, she was very lucky no one was hurt except for the car.

Back to the infamous NJ Politicians, I'm sure they will be passing a ban and make it illegal to fart in elevators. DAMN!

lets think about it, new jersey is thee most opressive state in the union. if people there would stop voting in communist leaders who want to control every aspect of their shrinking population they would know what its like to be "free".
perfect example of the corrupt new jersey gov.---> the governor LOWERED income tax by an average of $300 per household and increased sales tax by 1% causing the average person to spend $700 more a year in taxes... in a family of 4 that would mean a household increase of ohh about $...

i'm going to play devil's advocate and say yay to that one. but --only if it's enforced. driving while talking on your phone has been a finable offence in tx (as well as many other states) for years now and i've always been all for it. you're not driving around a phone booth people! it's potentially lethal and studies have shown cell phone drivers and general multitaskers (putting on makeup, searching for a cd, reading directions, etc) are actually more dangerous than drunk drivers. at least drunk drivers are trying to pay attention to the road!

i almost got run over in a parking lot by some lady who was swerving through it, paying more attention to her phone conversation then what was going on around her. she actually came t...

Yeah. I got bumped by an SUV a few years back while crossing at a crosswalk. He came around the corner and I went over his hood. I wasn't hurt beyond scrapes and bruises (lucky traffic doesn't move fast at that intersection). And yeah... he was talking on his headset. 😛

Granted, to play devil's devil's advocate, maybe this guy would've been a careless ass even if he wasn't on his cell.

I can't believe people text while driving, that's just plain nuts! But then again I have seen.

Women putting on make-up with a mirror while driving 75 on on the Parkway.

Saw a guy reading his newspaper while driving the same speed as above.

A women changing her kids diaper, I couldn't believe that one, her kid was on her front bench seat just laying there, no protection, no belt, the baby was like a newborn.

A guy changing his shirt using his knees to steer.

A couple doing what comes naturally, OMFG and you know what, I don't think that is banned in NJ. Shows you where the politicians heads are (no pun intended).

You hit the nail on the head. The NJ politicians are the most corrupt in the USA. That's why we have so many Mexican illegals, they feel comfortable here, their politicians are just as corrupt as New Jerseys.

They are going to pass a ban (law) making it illegal to smoke in your own car if you have passengers that are under 16. While I'm not promoting smoking, who the hell is going to enforce it?

Cops have enough to do, with the events this week in England, I would rather our cops be looking out for terrorists than hunting down people talking on their cells in cars. I once had a NJ cop pull me over for "Eating while driving" I was downing a Hamburger with my hand on the wheel and driving very carefully, he didn't issue me a ticket, b...

By that logic any phone is illegal. You have to dial voicedial on every single phone.

Ever heard of bluetooth? Pressing a button on your headset is not dialing. Not only did apple leave out voice dial, but speed dial as well...They call this a Revolutionary device?
