Just got off the phone with verizon and they said it does not have IR.

it sure does have the option to do so. I haven't tried it, but it's there.

for not having OBEX it sure does have the option for it in the bluetooth menu. Beam on the newer devices is going to be done through bluetooth. According to microsoft anyway.

Just confirmed that "beam" works with BT from phone to laptop. It drops it under My Documents\Bluetooth Exchange Folder.

Now to figure out how to send it back to the phone!
