Ringtones

I know it's been covered, but how do I put a ringtone on phone that is on my computer? I downloaded one particular one from iTunes. I am using a mac. Thanx.

if you purchase a memory card reader..which is the way I do it..you can transfer your mp3s from your computer to the memory card easily. This is the way I do it. Verizon does sell them but not sure on the price..check the web site Hope this helps.

Well if you got them form itunes they are probabbly in aac format and need to be reformated before you phone will recognize them as ringtones or music. If you want ringtones the easiest way to do it is to download a cutter. I got my mp3 cutter from cnet.com as a free trial that allows 30 second clips to be cut, and that works well for ringtones. It is called mp3 cutter. You also need a program to switch your crappy restricted itunes aac file over. You are on your own on that one, i don't pay for their crap. I think you can burn a cd which will transfer it to wave format then rip the cd back onto computer and it should be easy to convert it to mp3 from there, I suugest looking for a converter while you are at cnet.
