sync to computer
i need my phone to sync with my computer.i would like for it to sync with outlook but syncing with any program would work.is there anything out there to do this?

I don't really have a good answer, but I asked the VZ rep at the store about this, and he said that there is some Verizon-specific software for "all" phones to do this. He wasn't really sure, and they didn't have any at the store, so I'm not really sold by his answer.
I am also wondering about this, I've used Motorola Phone Tools with great success to sync outlook contacts, calendar, pics, videos, music and all. Wanted to switch to this phone but tough to give up the syncing I get w/Moto phones.
I've heard of some bitpim, or datapilot program, but now nothing about it.
Any advice anyone?

you can dowload bitpim which is actually totally free and is designed to be able to sync pretty much all data from your phone to your computer. I downloaded but haven't tried it yet as I just got my 8700. You will need a usb cable so I suggest picking up the music essentials kit from verizon so you can sync music with it too! Another option if you don't want to download the program is to download wireless sync through the get it now application on your phone. It is $20.00 a month for the feature so I would suggest the first option but it is up to you.
