What has been everyone's experience with "Advanced Voice Command"
My experience has been poor. When I speak I never get what I request. I have been thru the Train Voice Settings with no improvement. Does anyone have any suggestions, or is this another "Quirk" to be patched up later?

It Stinks, This is the worst voice command that I have ever used, When I ask it to dial a name in the phone book I never get the option of selecting which number I want it to dial, And when I try to train it I get the same thing(Voice training unsucessful) Whats up with that.

Mine has been perfect and I never had to train it at all. It has never missed a command yet.

It's not been kind to me either. I finally got the phone to indicate the voice teach was successful. Unless you state your contact exactly as you have it listed in your phone book, this phone will have a problem. Even if one is perfect in pronunciation there is no guantaree the phone will come back with the correct entry. I noticed under train voice there is "digital dial" as well as "responses". Do you know what this means? Do we have to train both? This phone will not let me do both? The phone will not change back from large font to normal font when commanded to do so? 😲

I can't get the digital to "train". Anyone have any ideas why not and whether it matters. I find the voice command does not work well. I was hoping if I could train the numbers, maybe it would understand me better.

On my phone the training voice say repeat 0 and some numbers using the word zero! It turns out that whereever is says to say zero you should say O (like the letter O). Somebody flunked the quality assurance test here!

The phone will support Voice Command in the closed position using Blue Tooth. 🤨

That's what I read, but it keeps rejecting all commands saying: 'not supported with flip closed'. Will call LG.

Just got off phone with LG. They checked with engineers and said: 'Cannot make a call with flip closed because no speaker on outside'. Sounds like a lot of BS. Lately their phones suck. By LG, buy VZW. Liked the Nokoa N75 better anyway.

I have done it with blue tooth. But let's face it, this voice command is a big disappointment. To me it appears as technology that was not mature enough to be responsibility sold as a reliable feature. This phone looks great but in my opinion, there are features and problems that were not adequately resolved prior to it's release. I am not unhappy with this phone, but I am not pleased either. Maybe LG stands for "Looks Good" rather than Life's Good

I tried it with bluetooth and it didn't work. Kept getting 'Command could not be executed with flip closed'. LG confirms this. With a wired headset it works. Anyone who got it to work, it's a fluke.

The voice command on this phone blows away my Maxx, My 8600 , my 8300 and just about anything else we have seen.
We use it from a bluetooth headset and it works 99.999 accurately.. Its the best ever
I can say call 732-876-9878 so fast and it gets it right everytime.
I am using the BH600 nokia and it's awesome..
The bluetooth is much better on this phone than the 8600, no static !!!
By the way , no training at all.
The Maxx I have is not even close.
I have 300 names in my phone book by the way and I can dial every one of them.

I always loved the LG voice command. My 8100 never misses. Just have to get used to 'flip open' on this.

Okay, I've ready most of the responses... lets find out if there is a difference in software. My Voice recognition sucks compared to the Samsung u740 I had for a couple of weeks. The LG recognizes most of my commands, but it doesn't come close to the accuracy of the Samsung.

Finally, an admission from LG. I spoke with an engineer and he admitted there is a 'software glitch' and the phone is supposed to work with the flip closed. He said they were working on a patch with VZW and seemed surprised that it was working at all. No idea when the fix would be. I would have to assume in the 1st software update. I just hope it's not like the 8100 where they completely messed up the BT on v04. Correct one & screw up another. VZW had to know this when they launched the phone, but did it anyway, just like the 8100 with vol, camera & BT problems. Suck greedy bastards.
