😲

I want this phone very bad a well and continue to hope it really will be released on time. Bad news is I spoke with a Cingular rep who is very doubtful and even believes April or May. Lets hope he is wrong...

That probably sounds more reasonable to me, considering how long it takes Cingular to release a phone.

Cingular can't release a phone until something better comes out. lol, so as soon as the N95 hits the US and Cingular commits to it, then it will release the N75...

Yea and then I plan to wait to make sure they get the bugs out of it before getting it. I still have my 6682 and downloaded the new firmware, not sure what it did tho..haha. It is no longer turning itself off tho, so far.

I could believe that. I would imagine that this phone would be released when Cingular becomes at&t....new name, new lineup of new phones. But I would think that this phone would be released after the new year, just as the name change occurs.

I'd rather have AT&T branded on my N75 anyways. Make no mistake, this name change is going to be for the better.

Does the name change affect reception?

Yes it does. When the name from Cingular goes to AT&T, there are many things that happen that have to do with the doppler effect and other radio frequency transmissions. For example, many people who call Cingular "singleair" get really really bad reception, whereas people who call it "singular" tend to get much better reception.

There is also of course the people who call it "cellular", and I think we all know those people don't get any reception.

I hope this cleared things up.

Actually it would not be a new name as I was an AT&T Wireless employee before the merger. We are coming around full circle. Kinda of strange, ha
