Not having the hissing noise some are complaining about, but, many other features I use alot on the phone are just too awkward to use on an ongoing basis.

The on off switch (difficult to turn to vibrate/meeting mode) and the headset port are horrible. In fact the Cingular store salesperson told me to break off the port cover if it was in my way. What a suggestion???
When open the phone is too long. For me to have my ear near the speaker to hear clearly, people complain that they can't hear me. When I move my phone down so they can hear me, I can't hear them. I do like symbion and especially the web browser. Also, in order to set up the phone to notify you when you have a new email you have to be constently connected or have messaging...

Re: the email notifications, I have 2 aol accounts and the only way I get notified is if I keep them both connected all day. How do you have your email accounts setup? Maybe I don't have them set up right. I just followed the instructions in the manual. I had them set up to check for updates every hour, but that caused the phone to freeze up. I would appreciate any advise or suggestions.

I have my AOL email setup the same way you do. I have notification set to every 30 minutes, from 8:30 AM - 9:00 pm, 7 days a week. My phone has never locked up at all. Maybe you have a faulty phone. Just a thought.
