Is the N75 a "smartphone"

I ask this because it does not let you add the unlimited smart phone usage ($19.99) in the checkout. Although, the specs list a "HTML web browser".
Thanks.

Maybe I can answer that I have a smartphone and Media Net and it works fine NP what so ever I think they say this is a Music phone but who cares what they call it it is just another billing option.

Most people will define a smartphone as a phone that runs an operating system and therefore has the ability to run applications. The N75 runs S60, and is definitely a smartphone.

I'm not sure why Cingular has a smartphone plan that applies to the 3125 only (which is a WM 5.0 phone) ...

The apps you can get for the S60 phones will allow you to do pretty much anything under the sun ... pick your task and there is an app out there somewhere (alhtough likely on a European site)

Thanks for the info. I have called the sales rep and they said it was smart phone too but I guess I better visit the store. I can't seem to add the unlimited access to the contract online, thus making me think you can't freely (well for $19.99) web browse (like a wi-fi phone N80/95).

In order to add a new media plan you must call customer service so they can remove your old media first. I had a similar situation a month ago. Yes it is a smartphone, nut since it has no qwerty keyboard or pda functionality you can certainly use the 19.99 plan. Hope that was helpful! 🙂
