With the A707

1. You can not multi-task. The mp3 player stops whenever you do anything else.

2. There is no flash.

The only problem with the SYNC (a707) is that it's ugly, and the the external display is ABSOLUTELY DREADFUL AND HORRIFIC.

And the only problem with the CU500 (which isn't really that much of a problem) is the it has 56k colors internal and no flash.

The CU500 is much louder on earpiece and speakerphone. The speakerphone is blasting loud on CU500 because the speakers are much bigger, the 3D effect.

One big difference I noted while testing both phones in New York City: when tethered via Bluetooth I got 500k+ download speeds on the CU500 and only ~300k on the A707. I tested these side by side repeatedly over a five day stretch and never got the 707 over 300k. I didn't have the cables so I could only test via Bluetooth.

Other than that, the CU500's interface kind of sucks. There aren't back buttons in the menus, so if you choose the wrong menu screen you can't back out, you can only quit by hitting the end key and start over from the root menu. Additionally, that issue with the constant confirmation of connection approval is a bit stupid. There really isn't any reason for this, as no one should be purchasing this phone w/out an unlimit...

The A707 screen size alone has me sold on it. I have handled both phones in a Cingular store.

As for the browser, download Opera Mini. I suspect it should work fine. I use Opera Mini more than MediaNet now.
The W810 has an interface I enjoy, I don't know how it matches up with the LG or Samsung, my experience was brief.

HSDPA is impressive I have to say.

I agree. I used the CU500 for about three weeks and by the time I switched to the A707, I completely hated the default ascending ringtone and confirmation beeping when sending texts. I do about 3,000 text messages a month so that got old real fast! Plus the CU500 wouldn't read the 1GB micro sd memory card I...
