data connection refused
I just bought a blackberry pearl and i love it. how ever i can not send or receive mms messages. I have the message bundle from tmobile. on the top right corner it shows edge in lower case letters. Does anybody know whats up?

have you sent a mms message to yourself that usually does the trick if not you might have to call cc to have them resend the settings for your messaging

Do you have the Blackberry data package or just the text messaging bundle? You have to have the Blackberry data plan to recieve MMS messages, it sucks. I know have to pay 19.99 plus 9.99 for data and 1000 text messages.

I have the message bundle from tmobile which is supposed to give me mms and sms. Unlimited of each. so your saying i have to pay for mms twice with this phone. Sounds kinda like a rip but i can beleive it from tmobile.

The problem is, for you to send a multimedia message, it has to access the internet, the internet can only be accessed on a blackberry with the BIS (Blackberry Internet Service) add-on, this allows you to do unlimited e-mail and internet browsing, so that's where you get your data, but the problem is you still need the multimedia package, at least your not with cingular, cingular's unlimited blackberry cost's 44.99 and their 1000 text package costs 14.99. Not a good way to go.
