sms text can only vibe?

Is there any way to get this phone to give an alert tone when it rec sms text instead of just vibe?

Yes, First, go to Menu by clicking the Menu button,
then: “Profiles”
scroll to:"Advanced..."
click active profile i.e.: "Normal"
scroll to:"SMS Text"
Than make changes it should be pretty self-explanatory.
