I took back my first KRZR (verizon) that I got b/c the battery lasted 24 hrs with moderate use. Also when charging it didn't display "charge Complete" like every other phone I had ever saw. The guy at the store thought it was a defect so they took it back and gave me a new one. Same thing happened. This battery is f*cking awful? Does anyones phone display charge complete?

I also cannot get this thing to connect to the computer. I have MPT which recognizes the phone and did my data transfer. But when I try to use WMP 10 I get a pop up that ask me to install a disk with the driver or select it from a list. I downloaded Verizon VCast software and the last to that installs is the driver and the fix for it. Yet this window still pops up. Someo...

I had the same problem.
Do you have Windows Vista? This was my problem. the software that comes with it for the drivers, only supports Windows XP.
or earlier.
If you have Windows Vista, not to worry, I spoke with Microsoft and Motorola the other day and they said in April they will have the driver update for KRZR to work with Vista.
You can always call Verizon customer service as well, tell them what operating system you have and they will let you know what to try.
Good thing i have a nother pc that has XP on it, so I can download my songs.. Don't forget to format your SD card too if you haven't already.. Just put it in the adapter and put the whole thing in your SD slot of your pc, then when you go to Control panel and see SD, right cl...

Two things to check:

Do you have the screensaver enabled? If so, turn it off. I took mine into service because the display light was coming on every few minutes and it was only lasting 24 hours on the battery. They ran their full diagnostics on it and everything looked fine. After turning off the screensaver, I now get 5-7 days of battery life.

I also turn off bluetooth when I don't need it as that also can drain the battery.

I don't know how turning off the screensaver does anything in regards to saving battery life. Isn't the "screensaver" just wall paper? The light is still on whther or not it shows an image. I would think the backlight timer is what you need to check to save your battery life.

Yes, After having this phone for 2 days I find the battery is pretty bad. I'm lucky if it lasts 24 hours with standby use. Had I known better I would have bought something else. I even had read some pretty negative reviews about the battery and still purchased this phone. I will give it a weeks time and if I'm not happy it's going back. There is no reason this battery should only last 1 day on a full charge on standy. An extended battery will only give 25% more which puts it at a day and a half on standby and it needs to be recharged. I don't know how Motorola can advertise the numbers on the battery life as they do as this phone doesn't even get close to it.

My other complaint is the bluetooth feature. Although I haven't tried it with a...

From what I've read, there have been some issues out there with some of the batteries that come with this phone. I'm going to call Sprint and see what they say, but I think they should send me a replacement battery and see if it that works. I guess it's hit or miss.
