2GB Memory Card Problems HELP!
Has anyone else had this problem? I just bought a 2GB microSD card for this and it doesn't seem to work right. I can put it in my phone (so that the folders are auto created), take it out and put it in my computer. Then I will transfer music over to the card and then put it back in my phone. What I have found is that if I put 750MB-2GB worth of music on there, when I go to My Music, the phone locks up for a few minutes then kicks me back out to the main screen. However, if I put less then 500MB of songs on the card, it works fine. It seems like even though the phone can read a 2GB card, it has a hard time reading that much info on the card. Has anyone else had this problem with a 2GB card? How about the 1GB?
...
I was told, granted by someone who doesnt know much that this phone max's out at 1GB. the 2GB shouldnt work - but someone may help you otherwise.

I'm using a 2g and it works fine. Little slow when full but works.
...
Have you actually filled the card with more than 1GB worth of music? And the K1m actually reads all 2GB just fine?
...
hchoi1978, what brand of microSD are you using?
...
I filled it up all the way. 🙂

I had the same problems with my 1 GB card and could not figure it out for a couple days.
What I figured out is that YOU MUST use media player u can not use a card reader as a device by just dragging songs to drive . So if you sync it through media player you should be fine.

How do I sync with media player?

Actually I don't use the Windows Media Player at all because I have Windows Media 11 which is still in BETA form.
I use just transferred songs to the card after the folders were created by the phone itself. One thing to remember is that you transfer the songs - not the albums. They won't show or play that way. It isn't probably as well organized by album on the card/phone this way - but the songs do transfer over.
Did I misunderstand your comment and the other posts?

actually windows media player has been out of beta form for over a week it went live last monday

And that very well may be true - BUT - Verizon doesn't have the update for their VCAST yet for Windows Media Player 11. And when I had called they didn't know when it would come out.
I had just wanted this person to know that you can still transfer music without using their VCAST music and WMP if they wanted to.

jeese I have this problem too. I bought a 2gb SanDisk I use windows media 11 to rip my .mp3s then I manually copy them to the phone. if I have over 600-700gb, the phone locks up when I do a "search for new content on my phone or memory card" then it goes black, kicks out and back to the main menu.
I use media player 11 like someone said in this thread ??
