Extremely Disappointed

This is quite possibly the most anticipated phone release of the year. I work for Verizon Wireless and I was asked about this phone before I even knew it was coming out and have continued to be asked about this phone until it was released. I myself was very anxious to see the phone and play with it. I was a big fan of the V and expected the enV to have a lot more features. But once it was released, it was nothing but the same phone in a different package. The only things that really changed was the fact the with the enV you get a 2 megapixel camera and it can support mp3 files. Other than that I see no obvious changes. Am I missing something? Does anyone else know something that I don't? ☚ī¸

Bottom Line: If you text a lot, say more than 200 a month, this phone is fantastic. If you don't text at all then I don't see why anyone would have it.

But you can't be dissappointed by it if you don't even own it. The battery life is tremendous, keyboard is stellar, screen quality is really good, sound is pretty good, I still enjoy it a great deal 2 months in.

Apparently you did not understand my question. I am not questioning the quality of this phone in any way. This is a great phone. My question was, besides the camera resolution and the battery life and the support of mp3 files, what makes this phone different from the original LG VX9800 "The V"?

First off is THE SIZE!!!!! Lots of people said the original V was too big and bulky, now it is much SMALLER! The battery life is much more enhanced.. the Camera is now at 2 megapixels...

Its an 'update' to a phone... The V had everything, and the enV has everything and some...

Why has nobody mentioned yet that 2 BIG improvements are:
1. The ability to send yourself ringtones for free without the need of a data cable or special software.
2. The ability to record Video for up to an Hour.

Am i missing something about the phone? What good is the 2 megapixel if you cant send it ?
Was at Verizon yesterday and showed the guy, and he was surprised because he wanted it. But the Samsung with the 3.2 meg can send it. He said it was an LG problem. That is why i got it because of the 2 meg, but if you know different please let me know as others have said the same. Bob

ok here are a few differences i have noticed that are different from the 9800
1. you have more options you can use on the front of the screen like you can see the calendar and you can view some more options also.

2. you can now hear the vz navigator from the bluetooth headse so you dont have to hold it to hear it now, which is cool.

3. it is thinner than the 9800 but it is alot wider also, and the screen and the colors on it are quite awesome, im not sure how everyone says it records for 1 hour though i took it to a concert we had at church and it stopped recording after 15 seconds.

another difference that i have noticed that i dont like, is the fact that you can no longer set different ringtones for individual contacts like on ...

When in Vedeo-camera mode. Select "Options"
"3" Save Option, Chose "External" this will save to a MicroSD card if you have one.
Then Select "1" Recording Time
"1hr For Storage" That's it! 😁
