Software differences

Curious_P

I just received my 8300 and I have version 1 for the software and understand that there is a version 3 out there. I checked all throughout the forum, all 32 pages, and didn't see anything on here stating what the differences were between each version. Can anyone tell me what all the differences are between version 1 & 2 & 3?

You didn't look very hard.

You can even see just from the subject of several messages that 2GB microSD cards now work.

It also added the capability to use stereo BT headsets for music playback.

Another report said that the new BT library is giving better audio quality with a moto headset.

Also it was stated that the separate mp3 player was removed, the wma player should now handle both formats.

ultima,

Actually I did look very hard, thank you for your concern. Apparently you didn't read my question correctly. I apologize for the confusion. In my post I asked "Can anyone tell me what all the differences are between version 1 & 2 & 3?" That would be ALL the differences between version 1 & 2 than the differences between version 2 & 3.

I answered the question the way I did because what you actually meant is impossible.

There is no full list of changes that anyone here has access to. We only have what we determine here on our own and the few changes that VZW techs do get informed about like the stereo headset support in v03 of the 8300 software.

Trust me, if there was a list we had of ALL changes, it already would have been listed here.

OK thank you. I appreciate your response. It would be nice if there were some way to find out all the changes. Thanks.

Yea its unfortunate that the software engineers don't pass a changes list down the chain like we see for the smartphones & pdas.
