This would be a nice phone...

If it wasnt on Verizon. I love how a dual-core 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro cant handle all the verizon bloatware they pack in, great hardware, crappy software, and verizon is awful about updates or lack thereof.

Nice.

I like this model it reminds me a lot of the HTC Incredible just with water resistance and better hardware.

I am not a fan of Sprints HTC Hydro model they have right now. Verizon's option is much better I wouldnt mind owning this one.

Anyone have any experience with other Kyocera Hydro handsets to know if this is likely to have an unlocked or at least unlockable bootloader to make customer roms possible?

GSM/WCDMA 850/1900

850/1900 means compatibility with other GSM carriers in the Americas, but hardly makes this a "world phone".
