Motorola Moto X (GSM, 1st gen.)

Wonder if by any chance the Moto G will have the same option, having a device such the Moto G with that customization available will be just awesome 🙂

Seems to of made my camera worse. Seems quicker, no longer shows what you were taking a picture of when you close running apps.
But picture quality in low light or lots of light colors seem to be worse.

1 year obviously through Motorola I would assume. I'm sure GSM customers have a better experience going through Moto but what about CDMA like Sprint and Verizon?

The same with insurance.

How is a replacement device ordered? Is it a black/white stock one at that point or a completely remade device with the original color combination??

With google owning them they should have taken over by now. They have the best radios / reception / build quality in general, but they are mentally ill about updating their expensive phones.

But instead of flooding the google play store with unlocked stock devices with no crapware at a great price, they continue to suck-off losers like Veriscum, losers that lock phones and losers that charge confiscatory rates for international roaming. Losers.

And this rubbish with lines of phones that are Vz exclusive, how lame.

Yawn at motorola, get off the bench and start winning again with google behind you and UPDATE YOUR PHONES to 4.4 and STOP BEING A WHIMP.

Well that's a cool way to hand out updates. Instead of waiting for stupid carriers.

seem like a great idea from a sales perspective it's also yet another way companies can access your information. The whole point of creating an anonymous user ID and secure password is to prevent anyone from accessing your information. Would you be as trusting if Motorola was asking for your debit card PIN? Probably not. So why trust them with access to an account that might be linked to that same debit card for iTunes and App Store purchases? Also don't forget, Motorola is owned by Google. And we all know some of the things Google does with personal information.

I think it made my Moto X's camera worse, especially in low light. 🤨

Poor execution of distribution, perceived pricepoint, and communication was it's downfall.

$600 direct from Motorola vs. new iPhone 5c. Motorola Google fumbled this rollout. It was the best for about 2 weeks. And only for AT&T customers. Now it's passe. Everyone say hello and goodbye to Moto X. It was fun while it lasted. Rollout=Epic failure. Even the media couldn't save it.

I don't see the wood options in moto maker that motorola said was going to be a possibility ☹️

🤭 So I went down Friday morning and ordered one of these phones... got the email friday saying they are working on it.... All i wanted was a 32 GB white phone... and i had to order it... Not happy.. I am going to return the device as soon as it gets here... When i buy a phone i want to walk in the store and buy it not order it and have to wait 2 weeks... This sucks!

It shows utter incompetence for the manufacturer to get to the last minute only to realize (and announce to the customers) that it cannot make good on a promise like this. If the people at Motorola are really so clueless that it took until now for them to realize they couldn't handle this customization then they deserve to fail.

It stinks that Verizon isn't getting the customization option at this point. That may hurt sales for Motorola as non-AT&T customers may forgo purchasing the device and purchase a competing one instead.

I don't understand this. If I don't care about specs, I own an iPhone. If I care about personalization, I buy a case for it, which allows me to swap out the appearance of my phone far more often than my contract. And because it's a case, my penchant for bizarre colors won't effect my resale value.

(And although many cases are lame, there are some pretty damn cool ones out there for the iPhone.)

Or, to sum it up with more direct competition, the Galaxy lets you peel off the back cover and put on a new one at will.

Not that Zune is the best business plan to emulate
