LOL. this is bullsh*t!!! I have emailed lots of ringtones before to my phone. Given help on sending ringtones to their phones. Now it wont work anymore. I mean i still have about 5-6 ringtones on my phone, but i cant send new ones. YES, i followed all the steps. the strange thing about it is that, i tried emailing the ringtones that i already have the phone AGAIN, to see if it was the file, but umm no it wasnt. When i get the song it plays and stops right away, it doesnt actually let me listen to the song. i've tried sending a 10 sec sound clip and still no luck. Is this something that VZW is to blame or am i doing something wrong??? Or is this a new issue??? Please help???

Yes it only plays for a couple seconds... UNTIL you select > options > save > tone... then go to your media and it will play in its entirety...

that is exactly the problem I've had from the start.

I've followed all the steps, tried 5 different mp3 encodings, (renamed to .mid) etc etc, and no matter what I do, I can't get it to play.

could it be a firmware revision thing?

I have 131.038

Nope, it's not the firmware, we all have the same one. Since others are able to do it by following the same instructions, I 'm sorry to say that you have just not followed "precisely" one of the steps correctly.

Try going to a free ringtone site and just downloading a true .mid ringtone and putting it on your phone. That way you can tell if you are at least doing those steps right, and if so, then it is a conversion problem. Most li...

Are they true .mid ringtone files or modified MP3 files? If it was a "semi" converted MP3 that you did to fool the phone into thinking it was a .mid file, you may just have corrupted some files in the process. Try deleting them and re-download or try a saving a true .mid file and see if the problem goes away with a proper .mid file.

Thanks, but I didnt follow your advice. I've spent like $10 sending non-working rintones to my phone. And finally on the last attempt before quiting and just keeping my old-sent one's...it worked. I still dont know what the problem was.
1-I send rintones. Yey it works!!! 😁 Got about 6 on my phone.
2- People on forum having trouble sending them. I help, and successfull.
3- Downloaded new song. Hey i'll send it to my phone.
3- I send and doesnt work. Maybe it was an error.
4- I send again. Now it doesnt work for me.
5- 1 week went by, and i tried again.
6- Success.

I dont know what the problem was but it cost me some $$$.
