So I have a Samsung Contour 2 for MetroPCS (Now Metro by T-Mobile). I set it to MetroPCS only and disabled airplane mode. I wanted absolutely no cellular connectivity but still wanted Bluetooth on. Surprisingly, it got coverage even though the network had shut down over 4 years ago. 1. Is this normal? 2. How do I fix this? P.S. MetroPCS goodbye goodbye goodbye ding! See you later! Metro by T-Mobile Hello hello hello ding! Welcome to the new network.

CDMA flip phone release in the midst of merger negotiations that immediately halt CDMA sales should they go through? How does this begin to make sense?
