Samsung SGH-i700

i am new to the pda/phone world, i have been a pocketpc user for a while, but am no considering either hte treo600 or the samsungi700 but i am on the mac platform. so back to my question. will the samsung i700 work with my mac? 🙂

Is Java available on the i700?

Friend of mine wants to get Verizon 1x service and be able to go into a yahoo chatroom (which is java-enabled)...

If anyone knows, would it work for the Treo 600? I know this isn't the forum for it, but I ask just in case someone knows.
