Call Recording App for Palm Pre

Does anyone know of an app that allows you to record incoming or outgoing phone calls? Similar to CallRec from the Palm OS.

Wifi on saves battery

I found out about this trick from cnet, I actually tried it on my incredible as well and it works. Leaving the wifi on while at home does indeed help with the battery life on the pre.

Texting -- no Sent, Drafts, etc. folders?

I've never owned a smartphone, but I qualify for an early smartphone upgrade (ends June 30), and the Pre sounds good. However I've read that you can't organize text messages into folders or other storage the way you can on a regular phone. This would seem to make texting complicated and inconvenient if you do more than a little texting. Anyone here have this problem, or any opinions about it? Thanks for your help!

Pre MINUS

So, with the recent removal of the mobile hotspot charge, I decided to buy a Pre on Verizon and giive it a try, and also give my DROID a well deserved rest.. Having used the original Pre on Sprint, I knew my way around Web OS. I received the device yesterday and activated it on my main line. Then, I updated to 1.4.

I am not sure what happened since I moved away from Web OS, but even with an increase in memory, the phone seemed sluggish at most everything. Even the internet through WiFi was slow (took over an hour to download the OS update).

In conclusion, maybe the unit I have is a bad one, yet I do not feel that this is a step ahead for the device or the OS. This morning I called Verizon and reactivated my DROID.

The Pre is pr...

Flash & Ease of Use for a Mom?

Hi All,

Thinking of getting this phone for my ~60 yr old mom. My only concern...do you think she can get used to a keyboard? I know its small but the Web OS is so intuitive I think she could get used to it pretty easily, but she may just throw it out the window bc of the keyboard lol.

Any thoughts?

Also...is flash going to be supported by this phone? And is it only an App or does it support websites with flash? etc

Thanks!

double key entries?

I've had my pre Plus for a few weeks now. I've noticed that as I type I get multiples of letters - even though I know I only pressed the key once. Sometimes I don't get any letter.

I was willing to chalk up the "no letter" problem to me simply fat-fingering between two keys. But I've been paying special attention to my typing and I'm not so sure it is me. Somebody else has gone so far as to edit Wikipedia for the Palm Pre.

I've also seen posts on the Palm community forum, and I made a post on VZW hoping they'd see it.

Next step is to officially report it to VZW (Palm site says not to contact them - see VZW for all issues).

I saw in many reviews on this site that others are experiencing this issue too.

Does anyone have a Pr...

Voice Commands?

How about voice dialing/voice commands? I understand the Sprint version does neither, how about the VZW version?

Change to a Palm Pre Plus from Blackberry

Has anyone switched from a Blackberry to a Palm Pre? Wondering if the Pre is as good, or better than, a Blackberry. Love the look & size, just not sure it could do as much as a Blackberry. Look forward to hearing opinions on this.

Thanks!

Visual sms or mms indicator?

Most smartphones have a visual indicator for sms/mmms/email/missed calls ect.... like blackberries. I've looked all through the phone and can't find a setting. Is there an app that will do this?

Thx

Pre Plus Ringtones?

Does anyone know where I can get ringtones for my Pre Plus? I've checked most of the "Free" sites and they don't seem to support my phone. Some will send the file, but I can't or don't know how to save the file to assign it. Any advice is very welcomed at this point. Thanks in advance!

Good user review I found on PreCentral. Lot's of good Pre/Pixi info there if you haven't seen it.

Sync with Outlook

Does anyone know if the Pre Plus syncs with Outlook without an exchange server. The Sprint Palm Pre has a work around thru google. Is it still that way with the Pre Plus?
