Okay people. How about we just continue to sit and wait patiently for this phone instead of coming up with dates from sources, etc?
The only TRUE way of knowing WHEN the phone will be released is when it ACTUALLY hits the stores. Feb 16th, early March, Summer, Fall, next year, NEVER... are not solid dates because they can easily change at the drop of a dime.
Stop getting all sensitive over a cell phone and trying to become "Mr./Mrs. I Told You So".
Lets keep it in perspective people.

Vodaphone offers the phone in the UK. Many companies (www.4cellular.com, just-talk.com, cellpoint.net) offer these Vodaphone branded handsets unlocked. Going price today seems to be mid-700s. ATT Wireless will have it in the USA soon I'm sure. The unlocked generic version (no branding like T-Mobile, ATT Wireless, Cingular) should be released one month after you see ATT debut the phone in the US market.

Someone I know speculated that the delay is really because ATT is buying Cingular and they won't release the phone until the deal is done and they are one company. For example, a Cingular user might switch to ATT b/c of the V600 - then a month later they are the same company and the customer is annoyed that they went through the touble of switching.

possible, but att would not buy cingular. att is up for sale, and cingular may buy them.
