Does anyone know if you are able to set ringer id's to individual contacts on this phone?

DO NOT BUY THIS PHONE

I am an agent for a wireless provider and this phone has come back to me at least two or three times a week. Everybody who owns one has some sort of problem that I have seen. Either it stops charging and will refuse any charge or the LCD screen just decides to stop working, to many other probems I have seen. I would say that the whole Audiovox company should stop making wireless phone but I got to be honest with all of you, the CDM 8900 is a pretty good phone... so far.

Turning off sound for On/Off Screen?

Does anyone know how to turn off the sounds the phone makes when you turn it on or off? I have U.S. Cellular, and even one of the reps didn't know how to do it, and in fact had this phone. It would be wonderful to turn it off in case I leave it on at inappropriate times. Thanks in advance!

signal strength

I tried the phone for a few days. Was not impressed with the signal strength. I like the phone and am trying to decide between it and the kyocera 3225. Any comments

GOOD PHONE.

😁
I just got this phone about 2 weeks ago and I think its great, Brew works good, the screensaver with the cookie sucks but you can change that, before I had a nokia 3585i and this little phone blows that one outta the water. the color screen is good, and I get better reception than my Nokia, plus this phone is so easy to text message it pretty much made me a fan of text messaging.

CONS:
1. speakerphone works good but I don't like how the sound comes out the back of the phone, they should've put it in the front.

2. the phone book could be a little easier to access but its not all that bad.

3. the vibrate then ring sucks, it should be able to both at the same time.

4. the ringtones that come with the phone are a little girly,...

My new 8410

This phone has a stupid animated picture of a cookie and a cup of coffee on the main menu screen.
Anybody have a clue how to replace/remove this picture?

I think the color is nice, but tends to drain batteries fast. Can barely see the screen without the back-light.

Has a feature called java like feature called "Brew". Can download cool tones from
midiringtones.com but the application (limited use)to download costs, and then each tone costs. They call it a "pay as you go" service. Grab your ankles!
I accidentally deleted a cool tone and will cost another $4 (application and tone) to get it back.
