It will add more protection if you drop it. It will also make it more grippy and less likely to drop. I have the Verizon combo case/holster on mine and like it. I never had a case for a phone before, but I never had a PDA phone before.

Are the cases sold in store and the ones on ebay the same? I am wondering if it is worth spending twice as much in teh store for the hard case and charger....listings on ebay say they are the same?
