Samsung Eternity SGH-A867

I was wondering if anyone knows if you can download and watch full movies on the Samsung Eternity? In itunes format hopefully.... If not would you know what format?

I have had my eternity for about a month or so, it's a good phone overall, just having a few issues, and I was wondering if anyone else was experiencing these... First off I would like to say that it may be a possibility that Samsung may be addressing these issues, and may have an software update coming... Who knows!! Anywho, first thing, is I have problems ending calls. When I hit the end button, sometimes it disconnects and sometimes it doesn't. I just keep hitting the end until either they hang up or my phone finally recongnizes the command... Secondly, if I have a missed call the phone and I hit exit, when I recieve a text, I get the missed call again.. 👿 Anyone else seeing similiar problems?

My speaker seems to be acting funny. I wasn't sure if it was a warranty thing or not. Basically, I've changed the settings on the phone so that when it rings, it just plays the melody and vibrates. Yet when someone actually calls me, it plays the tone like an increasing melody. If I play the tone in the audio section, it plays normally, and if I go back to settings it still shows that its set to regular melody. Does anyone else have this problem? If so, is there any way to change it? I have individual tones set for each of my friends and family, and its really annoying to have to wait until I can hear the tone to figure out who it is. I know I can look at the screen, but that kind of defeats the purpose of even having tones.

I have had this phone since November 26th and over the past few days I have noticed that my phone has started to randomly reboot itself.

There is no set time when this happens, I have been on the phone when it happens or it could be sitting idle on my desk.

As soon as I get a chance I am going to go back to the AT&T store and see if they can figure anything out.

Does the phone have speed dialing such as using hot keys and if so could someone tell me how to set this up? Thanks

I just got this phone about a week ago and I am told there is a lot of backgorund noise when I am talking to people. Many people describe it by saying I sound like I am in a bathroom.

It is mostly when I am driving but I am still pretty concerned. Does anyone else have this problem. Will a headset help this at all? Please help!

I was just wondering if anybody else was experiencing a sluggish music player interface. I have a 8gb microSDHC memory card in the phone with about 7.4 gigs of music on it and every time I change tracks, particularlly from different artists, it takes about 4-10 seconds to switch to the next track. Has anybody else had this problem? It seems strange that such a brand new phone would have such a hard time pulling up simple .mp3 tracks. Even my old Song Ericsson w810i could handle these songs faster!

Everytime I use speaker phone, the phone is locked and I have to press the corner top button to unlocked it. Does anyone experience this problem?

Has anybody tried both the Eternity and the Behold? Which did you like better and why?

I just got this phone and I can't get it to sync with Outlook!All my contacts are there and it will not let me sync!

Has anyone had this problem with the eternity......I cannot receive pictures from friends in another network (verizon, sprint)outside ATT network - message will read "unsupported image file". It's a standard picture taken with a camera but cannot be viewed.....

Can the Samsung Eternity view Word, Excel, and PDF files?

I have downloaded the most recent version of PC sync from the Samsung site, when I run the program and go into the Multimedia manager (to move files, pics, songs, etc from pc to phone) it just freezes up and nothing happens...even if I download it on another pc. Has anyone else experienced this problem? If so what did you do to correct it? Oh, and by the way I LOVE this phone...glad I bought it!!

I tried calling a buddy of mine and got his office voicemail system...which asked me to enter the extension I wanted, followed by the pound sign. OOOPS! There was no way to pull up the keypad to enter anything! I called ATT and they couldn't find out how to do it either, saying the phone is just too new, so they got Samsung's techs on the call with us. After a few minutes, the Samsung guys admitted that this was a serious bug and they would have to work on a fix. They assigned me a case number and presumably have gone back to their drawing boards.

If anyone else is having this problem, now you know what the deal is.

Also, the silicone iPhone skin makes a good case for the Eternity...until Samsung comes up with one.

I've noticed that the 3 hard buttons aren't the greatest in quality. At least on my phone. They tend to stick and seem like they could be a problem in the future. I don't know if I got a bad phone or not. Anybody else notice this? I may try and trade it in for a new one. Its only been a week so I should be able to.

Please help me with the events widget. I've put events in the calendar and they don't show up on the widget. Where does it get its information from?

What is its function?
Also, is there a place to download additional widgets?

I've gone to 4 AT&T Stores in the Chicago Suburbs and nobody is carrying this phone. I don't understand why? Is it destined to fail because of the lack of availability? The workers at the stores seem to be clueless on when it might be stocked. VERY FRUSTRATING!!!
