Briefly

The phone looks excellent, display are detailed and bright. I still can't believe how big the internal display is. It feels like it should be the same size as the 9900 but it's noticeably bigger.

The touch screen requires a little more pressure than i anticipated. I thought it would be more like the touch controls on other mobile phones like the Gleam, K1M, etc. Doesn't take long to get used to. Dialing with the outside touch screen is quite easy with few mistypes. Using the touch screen for the full keyboard was a bit more difficult. pretty similar to the I-phone. buttons are just a bit small.

Internal Keyboard is Excellent! The only quirk I noticed is that the down arrow on the D-pad feels a bit odd. Has a different s...

Perhaps I haven't looked through all of the postings, but my main question about the phone is whether or not it is a smart phone. Any help is much appreciated.

It is not a smartphone. Not quite a dumbphone either though...hmmm. it doesn't have the flexibility of adding apps, and full html browser (like IE or Blackberry, Safari that allows javascripts, etc.) Should be a pretty cool phone none the less.

Yes, the phone happens to be very smart. More than I thought. It is college educated and comes equipped with a bachelors degree. Ironically, the phone is even more smarter than just about all the Verizon Reps.... 😁

YES IT IS. if you want full power to the phone. mobile tv select will give tv service and unlimited mb for the browser. if you want navigator you might as well get the Premium plan.
Now Premium is not required, again NOT REQUIRED, but you get more functions out of the phone.
Vcast is enuff because the browser runs from the mobile web and is an optimized browser, in plain words is a better browser than mobile web 2.0 meaning graphics for site like myspace and photobucket. And before someone says anything I HAVE GONE to these sites with an actual Voyager, so please save your speculations
