will it be a iPhone killer?

May 20, 2008, 1:07 PM
No. Blackberry has completely shied away from all flash capable Internet browsers. Without a way to stream media from flash sites, it will always be lacking as a media device. It of course will kill the Iphone on the grounds of Business though. I don't think the Business Iphone that is supposed to release will be able to compete.

I saw they now support mobile youtube on the new OS. What other media sites? I'd still like to see flash on it. Sad

There will be a new BlackBerry released sometime before this year is up. Release date has not yet been released but the phone looks awsome and could be better than the 3G iphone with a querty board twist. Look for BlackBerry Bold in the near future.

I have t-mobile and on their site it says you are up to date if you have handheld version , and I asked someone @ tmo and they said don't upgrade unless it says so on their site but like you said on BB's site it says they are up to, can I upgrade? or will it have any adverse affects?

You can upgrade, you just have to remove the vendor tag. There are instructions on how to do so over at Pinstack.com.

Otherwise you get to wait till T-mo does an official launch.

You don't want It is buggy. I used the Orange Launched 4.5os and it seems to be working well. I'm using

Once again, you can find plenty of links on pinstack. I also posted one in the AT&T forum here at Phonescoop.com titles Blackberry os 4.5.

Any info on the new RIM Thunder touch phone? When will it come out? Does it lock up and how does it compare with the Palm Treo 700P (which constantly locks up)? Will it be with Verizon or...?
