Are there any new CDMA nokias in the works, especially for US Cellular, other than the 6255i?? All the nokias that come out are for GSM carriers!! 😢

Here in Wisconsin, Cingular gives a good signal in about 40% of the state. U.S. Cellular works fine in about 95% of Wisconsin. I'd LOVE to switch to Cingular with their GSM quality and larger selection of phones, but RECEPTION is always most important -- at least to me.

Well I absolutely agree..phone reception is of utmost importance..I think Cingular is expanding their GSM network so hopefully it will be more than 40% in the future..then very near future..how up-to-date are those stats by the way?

Yea right Cingular's reception is horrible in my area! I've tried GSM before.Too much background noise and static. CDMA is much clearer! 😁

How long ago was it that you tried it? Maybe things have improved since you did..but if not, is VZW a viable alternative? (I would think USCC has better plans though)..and I have looked at some of the phones for USCC and they actually look quite nice 🙂

Actually, I have tried both Cingular and T Mobile with T Mobile in the lead with reception, rate and data plans, but the calls are still not as clear as with CDMA. Not nearly as many break ups or "choppiness" as with GSM. 🤣
