Choosing a phone

Hi everyone! I just migrated from AT&T to Cingular, and I am picking a new phone. I am trying to choose between the LG L1400, Motorola V551, and the Nokia 6230. One of my reasons for the Motorola candidate is that I currently have a Motorola for my work cell and keeping one type of charger laying around is desirable, but I am willing to consider other phones. What do you guys think of the three candidates that I listed (which seem to be Cingular's best options is my service area)? Which one would you choose? Also, except for the price tag of $300, I would include the Motorola MPx220 in my selection choice - is it worth the money?

Thanks in advance!

I personally would like a Nokia 6230, but good luck getting one at a Cingular store - they're sold out in my area all over and I was told it's on national backorder.

I've considered ordering online, but cannot find a comfortable source to order from. According to a Cingular store rep, I can place an order at Cingular.com, but if the phone is on backorder, I would be waiting and once I place an order it would be difficult to reverse it.

Thanks for your opinion, I'm glad to hear you say the 6230 because I already picked one up. You probably don't want to hear this, but they had three of them in my local Cingular store (Pensacola, Florida). Anyway, I'm very happy with it and I hope you find one soon.

Your store had stock, huh? Damn - must be these crazy Californians...

How do you like it so far?

It's one awesome phone. I've had motorolas for a while, so I'm having to get accustomed to the menus and such. It's easy to tell that it is a high-quality phone.

I hope you get one soon.

picked one up a couple days ago! Turns out I've been going to former AT&T stores and they never carried the thing. But I finally went to an actual Cingular store and they had stock.

The phone is very nice, so far. The Motorola v60i was my last phone, so the menus I'll have to get used to. Infrared works well, so far (with a couple of fails from my phone to PDA, but it all works) and it's pretty intuitive.

Now I gotta pick up a bluetooth headset. Anyone have any recommendations? I'd like to spend no more than maybe $60?
