Hopefully you did not get your phone wet - if you did there will probably be problems. Look inside the charging jack on the bottom of the phone and see if you can see anything that doesn't look right. If it looks green or shows some other sign of corrosion then get that jack cleaned out. If you don't know how or what to use bring it to a store with a service center. 99% of the time when an LG shows car kit for no reason it seems like there is some corrosion on the charging jack which shorts it out to think that it is in a HF car kit.

I saw this fixed once by going into long programming and clearing out the errors......worth a try!!!

that's only if someone's willing to put a potentualy water dmg'd hand set to a PST. I've managed to get them fixed like that. I've also managed to fry the handset. Normally, getting a stiff toothbrush, some (uncoloured)rubbing alcohol and giving the data port some tough loving tends to get it out of carkit (once dry). if the corrosion exists beyond the port (inside the base of the phone) then you're PhK'd.
