Help! My friend gave me his old samsung SCH-540. I want to put my chip from my old phone in it, but dont see where that is possible. What's going on with it?

If your chip is a "Micro SD" chip it WIll go in.
Slide the back cover off. Grab the top with you fingernails, and slide it downward to- wards the charging port on the bottom. It will slide down about 1/8", then lift off the cover. The port for the MicroSD chip or 'card' is on the left side neaar the bottom of the phone. Push it in until it 'clicks' into place, and it will lock there. Removal is just as easy... push it inward until you feel a slight click again, and let it out slowly ! Replace the back cover, and the phone will format the chip automatically.
